During the off season, Small Munsterlanders can also be used for agility, obedience, retrieving and hunting tests or trials. Small Munsterlanders have a strong pack instinct and thrive in outdoor oriented families. In the house, they often can be found sleeping near (or on) the feet of their master. In their native country of Germany, it is the Kleiner Münsterländer.
A Bit of Background
How We Got Started
We began training our first versatile hunting dog just to have a good companion in the field. Originally we did not plan to operate as a professional Small Business, we just wanted a wonderful hunting partner for ourselves. However, we became hooked and soon we added a second and then a third one to our family.
After acquiring a lot of information about the breeding process (from both Pudelpointer and Small Munsterlander breeders), we decided to do our part in preserving it. We have also made the choice to open up training to not only our puppy buyers but to the local hunting public which led to the birth of our Massachusetts business. Since then, we’ve known so much love, joy and excitement! Contact us to find out more.
Philosophy & Mission
Hunting Dogs for Hunting Families
As a responsible versatile breeder, we carefully screen potential owners to make sure they understand exactly what is required when it comes to taking care of these animals. Please note, we only sell puppies to hunting homes, and require all owners to prepare and test their pup in the NAVHDA natural ability test by 16 months of age. This is to not only place them into a home that embraces hunting but also so that we can review the abilities of our pups and know if our breeding is producing what we are striving for.
